BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team picked up their first dual win of the season Sunday afternoon, topping regional foe UVA Wise 4-3 on a sunny afternoon at the King Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite not having a team competing at no. 3 doubles, the Tornado still managed to take the doubles point, with Deniz Aytun and Mishka Koricinova winning 6-1 at no. 1 doubles. No. 2 doubles also went to the tornado, as Mireia Mas Ortega and Neem Shamsuddin won 6-4 to secure the point.
- In singles play, the Tornado won three matches, starting at the top flight, where Aytun won 7-6, 4-6, 6-2.
- Koricinova got the nod at no. 2 singles and picked up a win, beating her opponent 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
- Shamsuddin continued the winning ways at no. 3 singles, winning handily 6-3, 6-0 to clinch the match win for the Tornado.
