Tornado compete at MLF event on Pickwick Lake

COUNCE, Tenn. – The King University bass fishing team sent five teams to the Major League Fishing (MLF) Southeaster College tournament at Pickwick Lake on Friday. The duo of Landon Lawson and Hunter McClaskey led the way for the Tornado, finishing 112th.

KING RESULTS: 112th, 152nd, 162nd of 224 boats
LOCATION: Pickwick Lake; Counce, Tenn.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Lawson and McClaskey caught two fish for a total of four pounds, three ounces.
• Logan Dillow and Oakley Powers caught one fish for a total of two pounds, five ounces to finish 152nd.
• Finishing 162nd was Jacob Lovell and Maddy Phipps who finished with one fish for a total of two pounds, one ounce.
• Dylan Thomson, fishing without a partner and the duo of Diego Mills and McKinley Wagner failed to land a fish.

FOR THE FOES

• Blake Milligan and Matthew Parrish of Auburn University won the event, catching their limit of five fish for a total of 18 pounds, seven ounces.
