Curry tabbed Conference Carolinas Player of the Week

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following a pair of double-doubles and leading the King University men's basketball team to three Conference Carolinas wins, Isaiah Curry was selected Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Curry averaged a double-double, 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game over the week for the Tornado. The senior started the week with career-highs of 19 points and 14 rebounds in an overtime win over Lees-McRae College. He closed the week with another career-high and another double-double against University of Mount Olive. In the win, Curry scored a career-best 24 points and added 10 rebounds.

Along with averaging a double-double, Curry shot 65.4 percent from the floor (17-for-26) and went 17-for-19 from the free throw line for an 89.5 percentage. In the win over Lees-McRae he went 9-for-10 from the charity stripe and went 6-for-7 from the line against Mount Olive

For the week, Curry grabbed 30 rebounds, 16 of them came on the offensive end. On the defensive end, Curry led the Tornado with six steals and two blocks.

This marks the first time this season Curry has been selected Conference Carolinas Player of the Week and second time in his career.
