BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King University women's triathlon team competed last Sunday at the South Holston Duathlon.
Stephanie Dansie took home first place for the Tornado, defeating competitors from Milligan University and Eastern Mennonite University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dansie won the event with an overall time of 1:04:58. She finished her first run in 10:52 and then completed the biking portion of the race in 41:48.The sophomore posted a time of 11:06 in her final route in route to her first place finish.
- Abbie Erme was not far behind as she came across the line in third place with a time of 1:07:29. She picked up the fastest run split of the day, a 10:33, with her first run in the event. Erme then registered a time of 46:11 on the bike before finishing her race with another run, this time completing it in 10:57.
- Emily Sutherland started with a first run of 11:37 and followed that with a bike time of 43:52. She finished with a run of 11:59 for a total of 1:08:28.
- Jayne Wolbert was next to finish for the Tornado with a time of 1:08:50. She finished the first run in 13:14 before tackling the bike in 42:54. She finished the event with a time of 12:18 in her second run.

- King returns to action on April 17 when they travel to Roxboro, N.C. for the Hyco Lake Triathlon.
