BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King University women's soccer team opened the postseason with a 2-1 loss at the hands of Erskine College. The Flying Fleet scored in the final seven minutes of both halves to secure the come-from-behind victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Erskine started off the front foot, tallying the first three shots of the match all within the opening four minutes.
- The momentum began to shift after Presley Bacon fired a shot that was just wide.
- King broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute as Megan Brody sent in a free kick from the corner of the box that was headed home by Anya Gross.
- The Tornado controlled the game for the next few minutes before Erskine found the back of the net on the counter.
- A shot from Carlie Branham was palmed away and fell right back into her path for the tap-in equalizer.
- Much like the first half, Erskine started the second half strong by taking the first three shots of the half.
- The Tornado responded with three successive shots of their own, one from Mackenzie Winters before Gross added two more.
- With less than ten minutes to play, Isabella Carr fired a shot that was saved by Cheyenne Fuller. She then sent the rebound wide right, failing to capitalize on King's best opportunity of the second half.
- A rebound from Katie Cauble put the Flying Fleet ahead with just over six minutes remaining.
- King failed to muster a shot for the remainder of the game as Erskine picked up the 2-1 victory to conclude their portion of pool play in the Conference Carolinas tournament.
