King drops conference opener at Barton

WILSON, N.C. – The King University men's tennis team opened their Conference Carolinas season on Saturday at Barton College. The Tornado dropped the dual 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The No. 2 doubles match was tight as the Tornado tandem of Ross Edgar and Nathan Snow dropped a 7-5 match to Philip Nordberg and Gustavo Camelo.
  • Barton won the No. 1 doubles match to win the doubles point.
  • In singles play, Alex Sodre played a close match with Diego Agudelo at the top flight, but Agudelo came away with a 7-6, 6-0 victory.
  • Andre Schiabel fell to Nordberg 6-2, 6-3 at the second flight as the Bulldogs took the final four singles matches to win the dual 7-0.
