BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's team played a tough match in the season-opener, defeating to UVA Wise 4-3. King took the doubles point with a pair of wins, and the top three singles matches to take the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alex Sodre and Nathan Snow came away with a 6-2 win over Jake Ferner and Dominic Hoffman at No. 1 doubles.
- The tandem of Andre Schiabel and Kyle Robinson followed with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles over Coleton Burke and Luke Jarnagin to give King the doubles point.
- Sodre then took a 6-2, 6-1 win over Ferner at the top singles flight, and Schiabel followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Hoffman and No. 2 singles.
- Nathan Snow won his match at No. 3 singles 4-6, 7-5, 10-3 to give King the win.
