BRISTOL, Tenn. – In a matchup at the top of the Conference Carolinas West Division, the King University women's volleyball team fell to North Greenville University. The Tornado offense was stymied by the Crusaders as North Greenville took the 3-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- With the first set even at three, North Greenville rolled off six straight points to force a King timeout.
- A Brittney Ramsey block started a 4-0 Tornado run as Julie Ward followed with a service ace and a kill.
- King trailed 15-12 following the spurt, but the Crusaders answered with four straight points to regain a 19-12 lead.
- North Greenville later scored six of the final seven points to take the set 25-15.
Second Set
- Following a Ward ace, North Greenville scored four straight points to open up a 5-3 lead.
- The Crusaders later scored four straight points, and five-of-six to take an 11-6 advantage.
- An 8-0 run put the set out of reach as North Greenville took a 19-8 lead as they went on to win the set 25-12.
Third Set
- A Georgia Davis block and Ramsey kill got the Tornado off to a hot start in the third set.
- The momentum was short-lived, however, as North Greenville later went on a 5-0 run to take a 10-6 lead.
- Following a King point, North Greenville scored six straight points to open up a 15-7 advantage.
- The Tornado couldn't recover as the Crusaders took the set 25-17 and the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Ward led King with eight kills and 12 digs.
- Hailee Blankenship followed with four kills and four digs.
- Ramsey chipped in with three kills and four blocks, including three solo stuffs.
- Katie Harless handed out 11 assists and Davis recorded 10 helpers.
FOR THE FOES
- Abigail Durham led North Greenville with 11 kills and Emilie Allen added 10 terminations.
- Erin Allen added eight kills and 12 digs.
- Ashlyn Conner handed out 24 assists and Abby Pyke posted 15 helpers.
