FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. -- The second-ranked King University women's wrestling kicked off their 2021-22 season Wednesday night with a huge win over ffith-ranked Emmanuel College. The Tornado won every match that was contested, including a two falls, five technical falls and a pair of forfeits.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- At 101 pounds, Jaclyn McNichols won via forfeit
- The first match that was contested was at 109 pounds, where Danielle Garcia won via tech fall, 11-1 to give the Tornado a 9-1 lead.
- Samara Chavez won at 116 pounds via first-period fall
- Vayle-Rae Baker and Montana DeLawder then won back-to-back tech falls to extend the lead to 20-2
- Ana Luciano picked up the second fall of the night at 136 pounds for the Tornado
- London Houston and Viktorya Torres both won tech falls, leading up to a thrilling 2-1 win for Tiffani Baublitz at 170 pounds that saw Baublitz pick up the winning takedown with 40 seconds left in the match
- Emmanuel forfeited at 191 pounds, giving King their first win of the season.
