BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's tennis team finished the fall season with a clean sweep of UVa-Wise. The Tornado won the doubles point then won all six singles matches to take the dual 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alex Sodre and Bennet Schulz took a 6-2 win over Cleve Packer and Connor Giza at the top flight.
- At No. 2 doubles, Ross Edgar and Nathan Snow defeated Coleton Burke and Luke Jarnigin 6-0 to give King the doubles point.
- In singles play, Sodre took a 6-1, 6-1 win over Packer at the top flight.
- Schulz and Edgar followed with 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 2 and No.3 singles, respectively. Schulz beat Burke and Edgar topped Giza.
- Jorge Rojas took a 6-1, 6-0 win over Jarnagin at No. 4 singles before Snow defeated John Robert Kilgore 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
- Robby Mayher capped the 7-0 triumph with a 6-1, 6-1 win over John Hamilton at the sixth flight.
UP NEXT
- King is in action again on February 9 when the travel to Carson-Newman University. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
- UVa-Wise takes on Lees-McRae College on Sunday.
