Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn.. – The King University men's soccer team played superb defense to earn their second conference win on the season. The Crusaders and the Tornado were tied until Eli Carrasco scored a goal late in the second half to give King a 1-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King laced nine shots in the first half, putting two on goal. Belmont Abbey had two shots, none on goal.
- The Tornado had a great defensive game, holding Belmont Abbey to five shots in the match, zero of which was on goal.
- After a scoreless first half, Carrasco scored his fifth goal of the season in the 63rd minute when a thrown in ball was passed from Carlos Saavedra to Carrasco, and then was shot into the high right middle net.
- The Tornado took 15 total shots in the game, placing six on frame.
FOR THE FOES
- Belmont Abbey and King had two corner kicks apiece in the contest.
- Wes Holifield posted five saves for the Crusaders.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The zero shots on goal, allowed by the King defense was the first time since joining NCAA Division II in 2011 that they have held their opponent to without a shot on goal. The previous low was a season ago when they held Concord University to one shot on goal.
- Carrasco's game winning goal was his first of the year, and his third of his career.
