Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's volleyball team continued Conference Carolinas play with a sweep of Pfeiffer University on Wednesday night in the Student Center Complex. Tristyn Lozano led the Tornado offense as they topped the Falcons 25-6, 25-18, 25-17.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King used a 7-0 run early to open up a 9-2 lead over the Falcons. Cathy Scaniffe and Ashton Beckner capped the run with a block.
- Beckner and Becca Huddleston later sparked an 8-0 Tornado run with back-to-back kills and Beckner served up an ace.
- Huddleston ended spurt with a kill, giving King a 22-4 advantage.
- Back-to-back service aces from Haley Roe gave King the first set 25-6.
- The Tornado jumped out early in the second set as Sydney Pigage gave King an early 5-2 lead with an ace.
- Tristyn Lozano lader posted back-to-back kills, capping a 5-0 Tornado run and putting King ahead 11-5.
- She then started another run with consecutive kills. Emma Carico capped the run with one of her two kills in the match, giving King a 17-8 lead.
- The Falcons tried to comeback, but Huddleston ended their run, and gave King the 25-18 victory with another kill.
- Pfeiffer held the advantage early in the third set until King scored three straight points to take a 15-13 lead and force a Falcon timeout. Angela Boudavong served up consecutive aces to force the timeout.
- Following a Falcon point, King scored four straight points to start to take control of the set.
- Lozano started a 5-0 spurt that closed the match with a kill, and Abby Anderson followed with four straight aces, giving King the 25-17 victory.
- Lozano led King with nine kills and hit .350 in the match.
- Scaniffe followed with six kills and Huddleston chipped in with five.
- Haley Roe dished out 16 assists while Anderson handed out 11 and added five service aces.
- Amy Serowski led the defense with seven digs while Huddleston followed with six.
FOR THE FOES
- Brittany Blackburn posted a match-high 12 digs for the Falcons.
- Kayla Hyatt led the offense with four kills.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- King posted 20 service aces in the match, their most since King became NCAA Division II members. The previous best came in 2013-14 when the Tornado served up 19 aces against Morris College.
