BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's tennis team closed their home schedule on Sunday with a nonconference dual against Carson-Newman University. The Tornado grabbed the lead in doubles play and didn't look back, sweeping singles play for the 8-1 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kyle Logue and Lenny Keswani got King on the board with an 8-4 win over Jordan Knott and Jerry Hughes at No. 3 doubles.
- At the top flight, Moritz Poswiat and Luis Delgado made it a 2-1 Tornado lead when they defated Juan Sebastian Perez and Marc Bantel 8-6.
- In singles play, Luis Delgado earned a 6-2, 6-2 win over Kevin Mendes at the third flight before Jannis Walter earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Knott at No. 4 singles.
- The Tornado clinched the match at the top two flights where Poswiat defeated Perze 7-6 (7-0), 6-2 at No. 1 singles and Keswani took a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Bantel at the second flight.
- Logue and Pedro Gomes capped the 8-1 King win with victories at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively. Logue topped Lee Presson 8-2 and Gomes defeated Kyle Stills 8-3.

- King closes the regular season on Wednesday when they travel to take on North Greenville University. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
