MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The King University men's tennis team squared off with another one of the top teams in Conference Carolinas on Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Pfeiffer University. The Falcons took control of the match early, taking the 8-1 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first two doubles matches went to Pfeiffer, but Katya Cerny and Alyssa Salazar earned an 8-2 win over ShaNisha White and Melinda Athay.
- Marianne Hull nearly came up with a win at No. 2 singles, taking the first set from Valeria Mendoza 6-4. However, Mendoza came back to win the final two sets 6-3, 6-3 for the win.
- The Falcons took the other five singles matches to take the dual 8-1.
UP NEXT
- King is in action again on Sunday when they take on Carson-Newman University at home. The dual is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
- Pfeiffer takes the court again on Tuesday at the University of Mount Olive.
