BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's tennis team jumped out of Conference Carolinas play to face NCAA Division I foe UNC Asheville on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs earned the doubles points and took the first four singles matches before Jannis Walter earned a win at No. 5 singles, however, King fell 6-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNC Asheville took all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. The No. 1 doubles team of Luis Delgado and Moritz Poswiat nearly took a win for the Tornado, falling 7-6 (7-5) to Alex Croker and Brett Landau.
- In singles play, Walter dropped the first set to Landau 6-2 before coming back with a 7-6 (8-6) victory in the second set. He then earned a 10-6 victory in the third set to take the match.
- Poswiat also played tough in singles, falling to Croker 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 2 singles.
UP NEXT
- King will be in action again on Saturday when they host Erskine College at 2:00 p.m.
- The Bulldogs next face Radford University on March 4.
