Box Score NEWBERRY, S.C. – The King University baseball team concluded play on Sunday at the Newberry College Round Robin with a matchup against Young Harris College. The Mount Lions used seven unearned runs to earn a 12-4 victory over the Tornado.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Keister and Hencken registered two hits apiece, Keister going 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored and Hencken went 2-for-5 and drove in one.
- Stephens also recorded two hits, going 2-for-4 in the contest.
- Tyler Bailey pinch hit and went 2-for-2 with one run scored.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Young Harris grabbed the lead in the third inning when the scored four runs, three on a Beggs home run to right center.
- The Mount Lions added three more in the fourth, two on a home run from the second batter of the inning, Campbell.
- King got on the board in the fifth as Keister and Hencken ripped back-to-back one-out doubles. However, one was all the Tornado would get in the frame.
- Young Harris matched that run in the sixth on a two-out single from Beggs, stretching the Mountain Lion lead to 8-1 after six.
- With runners on second and third in the seventh, Sattz dropped down a squeeze bunt that scored Bailey, cutting the Tornado deficit to 8-2.
- The Mountain Lions added two in the seventh on a double from Campbell and single from Westmoreland to take a 10-2 lead.
- In the eighth, King got RBI singles from Soto and Keister, but couldn't push any more runs across.
- Young Harris matched the pair in the bottom of the inning to put the game out of reach en route to the 12-4 win.
FOR THE FOES
- Campbell went 2-for-4 with three runs batted in and two runs scored while Westmoreland went 3-for-5 with two runs batted in and two runs scored.
- Sexton also registered three hits, going 3-for-5 and Beggs went 3-for-4 and drove in four.
