FORT WAYNE, Ind. – In search of their third straight NWCA National Duals championship, the top-ranked King University women's wrestling team started the tournament with an emphatic win in the quarterfinals on Friday evening. The Tornado cruised to the 44-0 victory over Ottawa University behind six technical fall victories and four pins to move to Saturday's semifinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado didn't waste any time taking the momentum in the match as Marina Doi started the match with a 10-0 technical fall victory at 101 pounds and Ashley Iliff followed with a 10-0 technical fall win at 109 pounds.
- Samantha Klingel and Hanna Grisewood followed with 10-0 technical fall victories at 116 and 123 pounds before Rachel Hale earned a win by the same score at 130 pounds to give King a commanding 20-0 lead.
- At that point, the Tornado rolled off four straight pins starting with Jessi Kee at 136 pounds in 1:01.
- Hannah Jewell followed with a 0:20 pin at 143 pounds before Forrest Molinari took a 1:05 pin at 155 pounds.
- At 170 pounds, Torey Barrett took a 2:20 pin, stretching the Tornado lead to 40-0 before Jacqueline Williams capped the 44-0 victory with a 10-0 technical fall at 191 pounds.

- King continues their pursuit of their third straight NWCA National Duals title Saturday morning in the semifinals when they take on #5 Campbellsville University. Campbellsville defeated #8 McKendree University 29-26 in the quarterfinal.
