Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's basketball tallied another Conference Carolinas victory defeated Pfeiffer University 79-53. After Pfeiffer jumped out an early lead the Tornado quickly halted the Falcon momentum storming back to take the lead and refusing to look back.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pfeiffer was the first on the board jumping out to a quick 6-0 lead over King on back to back three point buckets from Safia Shekih.
- King soon answered back with long range baskets from Stephanie Brantley, Madison Davis, and Sheena Johnson taking the lead for the first time with 5:29 left in the first quarter.
- A layup from Ashley Albertson gave King a 17-15 advantage and sparked a 9-0 run to close the quarter and give King a 24-15 lead.
- The Falcon defense was able to make adjustments going into the second quarter cutting their defficiet to 24-20 one minute into the frame.
- The Tornado again were quick to answer back taking off on a 20-8 run and Pfeiffer's Meg Pritchard ended the half with a jump shot leaving King a 40-30 advantage.
- King continued to build on their lead in the third quarter as Johnson hit another from behind the arc to give the Tornado a 49-38 lead.
- Kristen Cupples then extend King lead to 57-38 sinking one from three-point range with 2:24 left in the quarter, King then enter the quarter with a 17 point lead.
- The Tornado did not let up on the gas as Demisha Porter drained a three-point basket to give King their largest lead on the game at 78-51 as the Tornado took the contest 78-52.
- The Tornado finished the game with a 78-53 victory over the Falcons.
- Jalan Harper led all scorers with a season high 18 points, shooting 7-for-9 from the field including a perfect 3-for-3 from long range.
- Davis chipped in 14 points and grabbed six rebounds.
- Amy Van Deventer added eight points and seven rebounds for the Tornado.
- Albertson tallied nine points with four steals.
- King shot 48.4 percent for the game, while shooting 52.4 percent from the three-point line.
FOR THE FOES
- Safia Sheikh led the Falcons with 14 points going 4-for-6 from the three point line.
- Meg Pritchard chipped in 12 for Pfeiffer going 4-for-7 from the field.
- Dajea Scott dished out six assists and Shontai Toten tallied three blocks.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- With 14 points Davis recorded a new career-high beating her previous high of six.
- Johnson posted a career-high of nine points, topping her previous high of six.
- Porter's action recorded a new career-high in points.

- King will continue conference play next Thursday against Emmanuel College at 5:30 in the Student Center Complex.
