Kee leads King at NYAC International Open

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Three members of the King University women's wrestling team competed at the NYAC International Open on Friday. Jessi Kee led the way for the Tornado reaching the semifinals before dropping a pair of matches.

HOW IT HAPPED

  • At 63 kilograms Kee started her day with a 10-0 technical fall win over Foussina Forgo of Hungary before defeating Mallory Velte of the US on a 7-6 decision to reach the semifinals. However, she fell to runner-up Misuzu Takahashi 9-2. Her day came to an end when she faced former Tornado Amanda Hendey 12-6.
  • At 53 kilograms, Samantha Klingel dropped both of her bouts.
  • Forrest Molinari dropped both of her matches at 69 kilograms, the second one on a 2-0 decision to former Tornado Julia Salata.

UP NEXT

  • The Tornado will be in action again on November 14 at the Missouri Valley Open.
