Box Score WILSON, N.C. – The King University women's volleyball team took to the road as they returned to Conference Carolinas play at Barton College on Friday night. However, the Bulldogs came away with the league win, taking the contest 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams came out with an offensive attack in the first set as Barton hit .321 in the first frame while King posted a .226 attack percentage.
- Barton got out to a 7-1 lead early, but King came back to close the deficit to 12-10. However, the Tornado couldn't get any closer the rest of the frame as Barton took the set 25-18.
- The second set was tight early and King looked to gain some separation with a pair of Grace Underwood service aces, giving King a 14-10 lead and forcing a Baton timeout. The Tornado then led 17-13 before a 6-0 run gave Barton the lead as they went on to take the set 25-22.
- The Bulldogs jumped out to a 12-3 lead and didn't look back as they took the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.
- Lauren Willoughby led king with seven kills to go along with 13 digs.
- Ashleigh Manke followed with six kills while Ashton Beckner, Sarah Collins and Grace Underwood all accounted for five kills.
- Amy Serowski led the defense with 15 digs.
- Olivia Underwood dished out 26 assists for the Tornado.
FOR THE FOES
- Stephanie Pingyin posted a match-high 18 kills to go along with eight digs. She also hit .375 in the match, making only three errors.
- Laura Peed lead four Bulldogs in double figures with 16 digs.
- Mariana Kedzia (12) Kaitlyn Micol (11) and Angelica Acevedo (10) also reached double figures in digs.
