Tornado drop season-opening dual at Tusculum

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The King University men's tennis team started their dual season on Wednesday at Tusculum College. The Tornado took one doubles point and one singles point, but the Pioneers took the match 7-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • King got on the board when Lenny Keswani and Jannis Walter defeated Tashique Kader and Fablan Paler 9-8 at No. 2 doubles.
  • King earned another point at No. 1 singles as Moritz Poswiat topped Jonas Winkelmann 7-6, 6-3.
  • Luis Delgado nearly came away with a win, falling to Leon Seiz 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
  • The Pioneers took two doubles matches and five singles matches to take the dual 7-2.

UP NEXT

  • King will be in action again on October 16 when they host Milligan College at 2:30 p.m.
  • Tusculum hosts Mars Hill University on October 11.
