Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – On what was a cold and wet day at Parks Field, the King University men's soccer team and Lees-McRae College played a highly contest game. Scoring chances came few and far between for either team until the Bobcats broke through in the 88th minute to take the Conference Carolinas affair 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kari Sveinsson came up with a pair of saves for King in the first half to keep the Bobcats off the board. His first save came in the 14th minute before adding another with four seconds until halftime.
- King ripped four shots in the first half, placing one on goal, but it was turned away as the game was scoreless at the break.
- Sveinsson came up big early in the second half as well, making a pair of saves in the first 15 minutes.
- The Tornado then pushed play to the other end of the field, taking three shots, but none were on frame before Lees-McRae started to attack again.
- Lees-McRae scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute on a free kick just outside the right side of the box. Thomas Deeley placed his shot just out of Sveinsson's reach and just under the crossbar, giving the Bobcats the 1-0 win.
- Lees-McRae outshot King 16-7, placing seven shots on goal to King's one.
- Sveinsson posted six saves, giving King a chance to win the game.
FOR THE FOES
- The goal for Deeley was his seventh of the season.
- Tyler Pavlet made one save in goal to post the shutout.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- It appears as though the Tornado will be the No. 5 seed in next week's Conference Carolinas Tournament and travel to either Lees-McRae or the University of Mount Olive on Tuesday.

- King will be in action again on Saturday when they host Milligan College at 3:00 p.m.
