WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The King University women's wrestling team started their season with another title, taking the Patriot Duals championship for the second straight season. On Saturday the Tornado topped #9 Missouri Baptist University 38-6, followed that with a 37-7 win over #6 McKendree University and capped the run with a 25-19 victory over #3 Oklahoma City University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Regina Doi started the quarterfinal match with an 11-0 win at 101 pounds before Breonnah Neal earned a win by pin at 109 pounds to give King the early lead.
- Samantha Klingel followed with a 10-0 win at 116 pounds and Hanna Grisewood earned a win by pin in 0:43 at 123 pounds, giving King a 19-0 lead.
- Hannah Jewell earned a 12-0 win at 130 pounds and Jessi Kee took a 10-0 victory at 136 pounds.
- Forrest Molinari then earned a win by pin at 143 pounds in 1:06 before wins by Brenda Perez and Evalyn Reyna gave King a 38-1 lead.
- Missouri Baptist got a win at 191 pounds to make the final score 38-6.

- Marina Doi gave King a 5-0 lead with a pin in 1:05 at 101 pounds.
- Neal and Klingel both followed with technical fall wins before Grisewood earned another win by pin, this one in 1:38.
- Jewell and Kee earned back-to-back wins by technical fall and Molinari took a win by pin at 143 pounds to give King a 31-0 lead.
- Torey Barrett capped the 37-7 Tornado victory with a win at 191 pounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- King jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Starts cut their deficit to 6-4 after a win at 109 pounds.
- Klingel got King back on the board with a win at 116 pounds, putting the Tornado up 10-5.
- Oklahoma City came back with wins at 123, 130 and 136 pounds to take a 15-12 lead.
- However, Kee came back with a win by technical fall to give King a 16-15 lead and start a run.
- Molinari followed with a win by pin in 2:00 before Barrett capped the 25-19 victory with a win at 191 pounds.
