Box Score 2 King Univ. Baseball defeats Glenville State 13-12 … (Feb. 17, 2013)
King Univ. Baseball gets a weekend sweep over Glenville State as the Tornado rally in the bottom of the 9th inning to pick up a 13-12 victory in today's game.
Jose Sola (JR, Aguadilla, PR) picks up his first victory of the season in relief. Steven Todoschuck (JR, Stoney Creek, Ontario) gets 3 hits on the day including the game winning RBI in the bottom of the 9th inning as he knocked in Garrett Cook (JR, Luray, VA) off a single to centerfield.
Tyler Gaby (JR, Bristol, TN) collected 2 hits, 3-RBI's and scored 4 runs on the day. Gaby hit the Tornado's lone home run of the day with a 2-run shot in the 6th inning. Brad Blanton (SR, Catlettburg, Ky) also collected 2 hits and 3-RBI's on the day to help lead the Tornado to victory.
King is now 7-4 on the season and will travel to Carson-Newman this Tuesday (Feb. 19th) for a 2:00 pm game. The next home game for the Tornado will be Tuesday, Feb. 26th as they host Lincoln Memorial at 2 pm.
