Knoxville, Tenn. – The King University Outdoor Track and Field team traveled to the University of Tennessee for the Tennessee Invitational, where they competed against athletes from all across the globe.

Men's Track and Field Team:

Dominick Stevens was able to break into the top ten in the 200-meter dash against some of the fastest athletes in the country, earning ninth place. He was able to run a new personal best time of 21.10 seconds, which puts him right around the top 30 times in the country and the second-best time in the conference. Stevens also ran in the 100-meter dash, getting 15
th place and a time of 10.54 seconds.

Lynden Johnson showed up big in the 100-meter dash, able to run a season-best time of 10.53 seconds, good for 14
th place.

Thomas Grant competed in the 200-meter dash, finishing with a time of 22.25 seconds.
Â
Jude Dukes and
Kenyan Booker both were able to jump in the Long Jump. Dukes was able to cross the seven-meter mark with a jump of 7.05 meters (23' 1.75" ft), good for 14
th place. Booker was able to leap a mark of 6.75 meters (22' 1.75" ft).

Women's Track and Field Team:

Savannah Darnell tackled two field events over the last two days with the High Jump and Long Jump. In the High Jump, she was able to place 20
th, clearing a height of 1.50 meters (4' 11" ft). In the Long Jump, Darnell was able to leap a mark of 5.14 meters (16' 10.5" ft).

Samaya Armstead was able to place 20
th in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.41 meters (17' 9.0" ft).

Ermay Vazquez took on a combo of the 400-meter dash and the 1500-meter run, showing her range. She had a solid time of 5:05.43 in the 1500-meter run. In the 400-meter dash, she was able to hit a new personal best with a time of 1:02.70.

Amanda Lowery hit a season best in the 800-meter with a time of 2:30.90.
