King University’s Stella Steigler Earns Wrestler of the Week Honors

King University junior Stella Steigler delivered a dominant performance that earned her recognition as Women’s Wrestling Wrestler of the Week. Competing at 160 pounds and representing Orange County, Virginia, Steigler went a perfect 5–0 across dual and tournament action, showcasing both power and technical precision.

Bristol, Tenn.-King University junior Stella Steigler has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Women's Wrestler of the Week following a dominant stretch of performances that showcased her power, precision, and consistency on the mat. Competing at 160 pounds and representing Orange County, Virginia, Steigler posted a flawless 5–0 record across dual and tournament action.

Steigler opened her week with a commanding victory in a South Atlantic Conference Carolinas dual, pinning Mount Olive's Eliana Pollock in 1:55. She carried that momentum into the Tornado Open, where she swept the field to claim the 160-pound title.

Her tournament run began with a 1:46 pin over Elizabella Laurin of Red River Wrestling Club, followed by an 11–0 technical fall against Slingshot Wrestling Club. In a rematch with Pollock, Steigler needed just 38 seconds to secure another pin. She closed out the event with a composed and controlled 5–0 decision over Janiya Johnson in the championship bout.

Steigler's undefeated week underscores her competitive edge and reliability as a key contributor to King's lineup. Her performance not only earned her the weekly conference honor but also reaffirmed her status as one of the region's standout wrestlers.
