Joe Amunategui III hit a solo home run Friday as the King University baseball team fell to fourth-ranked North Greenville 9-1.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Ben Hale had a solid relief outing for the Tornado throwing six innings, with two earned runs and five strikeouts in relief.
- Amunategui III finished 2-for-4, while Truman Roper also had a pair of hits on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Trailblazers scored five runs on three errors in the top of the first, taking an early 5-0 lead.
- Hale entered in the third inning, not allowing a run until the eighth, where North Greenville scored a pair to extend the lead to 7-0.
- King had a scoring chance in the fifth, as Daniel Hicks started the inning with a single to left field, advancing to third on a throwing error by the pitcher.
- The Trailblazers used a heads up defensive play to escape the inning with no runs allowed, with the Tornado leaving two runners on base.
- Amunategui III's home run came with two outs in the ninth, as he took the first pitch he saw and hit it over the left field fence for his fifth home run of the season.
FOR THE FOES
- Gideon Antle was 3-for-5, with a home run and four RBI.
- Thomas Powell and Landon Shaw both had triples, while Landon Peavy had the lone stolen base.
