Levi Medford had a home run and a double Tuesday as the King University baseball team dropped a nonconference game, 15-5 to UVA Wise.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Medford finished 3-for-4, with two RBI and two runs scored on the day.
- Other Tornado who had hits include Turner Stout and Jacob Eargle.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UVA Wise took an early 5-0 lead after scoring four runs in the second and one in the third.
- Medford stepped to the plate in the fourth and hit his home run, a no doubt shot to left center field that got King on the board, 5-1.
- After the Cavaliers scored five times in the fifth, the Tornado struck in the sixth, scoring four runs on one hit.
- The inning started when Michael Starrs reached base on a throwing error by the catcher after a dropped third strike. Nathan Borchardt then drew a walk, putting two runners on base for Medford.
- Medford then hit his double, putting the ball down the left field line, allowing Starrs to score, while Borchardt advanced to third.
- Borchardt scored when Stout reached base on a fielder's choice, which was aided by a throwing error by the pitcher. Medford was also able to score on the play to make the score 10-4.
- After Stout advanced to third, he scored on an RBI groundout by Jose Ruiz to cut the UVA Wise lead to 10-5.
- The Cavaliers went on to score one in the seventh before adding four in the eighth, taking a 15-5 lead.
FOR THE FOES
- Nick Badgett was 4-for-6, with four RBI and a pair of triples on the afternoon.
- DJ Dickson was 3-for-5, with a home run and four RBI.
- Jaden Ruehling and Dylan Foster also had three hits for UVA Wise.
