YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The King University baseball team dropped a pair of Conference Carolinas games at Young Harris Saturday, narrowly falling 3-2 in game one before dropping a 6-2 contest in game two.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- Young Harris got the scoring started in the third, scoring two runs to take the 2-0 lead.
- King had a chance to respond in the fourth, getting runners to second and third with two outs, but were unable to score.
- The Tornado got on the board in the fifth, as Misael Garcia led off with a single, advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt by Patrick Corley.
- Garret Huffman then stepped up to the plate and doubled to center field, allowing Garcia to score, cutting the lead to 2-1.
- King tied the game in the sixth when Michael Starrs reached base on an error, allowing Nathan Borchardt to score, tying the game at two.
- The Mountain Lions scored a unearned run in the eighth to take a 3-2 lead into the ninth, where Garcia reached base with two outs on an error, but was unable to score as the Mountain Lions held on for a 3-2 win.

- Chad Evans drew a leadoff walk in the second inning, scoring when Levi Medford singled to left field to put the Tornado ahead 1-0.
- In the bottom of the inning, Young Harris scored four runs to take a 4-1 lead.
- Truman Roper hit a solo home run to left center field in the third to cut the lead to 4-2.
- In the sixth, the Mountain Lions added a pair of runs, stretching their lead to 6-2.
- The Tornado went down in order in the seventh, falling 6-2.

- Jeremy Begora and Marco Colina had the lone hits in game one for the Mountain Lions.
- In game two, Begora had a home run, finishing with three RBI on the game.
- Zachary Murray threw eight innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with nine strikeouts while Dylan Beck threw one clean inning to pick up the save.
