YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The King University baseball team dropped the final game of their series Sunday afternoon at Young Harris College.
Nathan Borchardt was 2-for-4, while
Andrew Bryant hit his fifth home run of the season.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Borchardt was 2-for-4, while Michael Starrs drove in three on the day.
- Bryant, Truman Roper and Starrs had extra-base hits, with Bryant's being an eighth-inning two-run home run.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the first two batters for King were retired, Borchardt singled through the right side, scoring when Starrs reached base on a fielding error, putting the Tornado in front.
- The Mountain Lions took control of the game in the bottom of the second, scoring seven runs to take a 7-1 lead.
- In the top of the third, Conner Hyatt hit a one-out single, advancing to third when Roper doubled to left field.
- Borchardt picked up an RBI when he singled to left field, with Starrs hitting a sacrifice fly, scoring Roper and pulling the Tornado to within 7-3.
- Young Harris got one of the runs back in the bottom of the inning, making it an 8-3 lead.
- The lead reached 13-3 after a five-run seventh inning.
- King started the eighth with a pair of walks before Starrs doubled to left field, allowing Hyatt to score.
- After Roper scored on a wild pitch, Andrew Bryant hit a two-run home run to right center field, pulling the Tornado to within 13-7.
- Young Harris hit consecutive home runs in the bottom of the eighth, stretching the lead to 16-7.
- Derek Martin singled in the ninth, but the Tornado were unable to score.
FOR THE FOES
- Jeremy Begora, Ethan Stamps and Jack Enrico all had home runs, with Stamps going 4-for-6, with a team-high four RBI.
- Marco Colina was 3-for-5, with two doubles on the day.
