BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University baseball team dropped the final game of their Conference Carolinas series Sunday, falling 24-11 to UNC Pembroke.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Braves scored twice in the top of the first, taking a 2-0 lead before Nathan Borchardt singled to center field, allowing Truman Roper to score, cutting the lead to 2-1.
- UNCP then scored nine runs in the third before adding another in the fourth to go ahead 10-1.
- Corley picked up the first of his doubles in the bottom of the fourth, driving Misael Garcia and Kale Richardson to cut the lead to 11-3.
- A pair of UNC Pembroke runs saw their lead reach 12-3, though Hyatt scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the inning for the Tornado.
- After the lead reached 16-4, Corley hit his second RBI double of the day, doubling down the right field line to score Chad Evans.
- Huffman then had an RBI single before Michael Starrs hit a sacrifice fly to score Huffman, cutting the lead to 16-7.
- King trimmed the lead further in the seventh, with Huffman singling to drive in a pair, with Starrs adding a bases loaded RBI single to bring the Tornado to within 16-10.
- The Braves then scored four runs in the top of the eighth, before Eargle hit his home run in the bottom.
- UNC Pembroke added four more in the ninth, winning 24-11.
FOR THE FOES
- Michael Dolberry II had a pair of home runs, while Joey Rezek, Kody O'Connor and Ashton Donathan all adding one home run each.
- O'Connor finished with six RBI on the day.
