Tornado drop a pair to #1 Nighthawks

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The King University softball team recorded just one hit Wednesday afternoon as they dropped both ends of a doubleheader to #1 University of North Georgia.

KING HIGHLIGHTS GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
  • Dobrev had a two-out single in the second, but was left stranded at first base.
  • North Georgia took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second before adding three in the third to take a 5-0 lead.
  • In the top of the fourth, Million drew a two-out walk, advancing to second on a wild pitch before the inning came to an end.
  • After the Nighthawks added a run in the fifth, Vaught drew a leadoff walk in the sixth, advancing as far as third base, but couldn't score.
  • UNG would hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the inning to win it 9-0.
