PEMBROKE, N.C. – The King University baseball team led #21 UNC Pembroke 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth, but the Braves rallied to win 12-3, sweeping the three game Conference Carolinas series Sunday afternoon.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Davis Hall was 3-for-4, with a home run and two RBI.
- Chase Hilliard was 2-for-4, extending his hitting streak to 10 games, the longest active streak for the Tornado.
- Drew Moore threw seven innings, allowing one earned run on five hits with three strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNC Pembroke picked up the first hit of the game, a second inning single but the runner was quickly picked off to end the inning.
- The Tornado got back-to-back hits to start the fourth, with Ethan Hawkins leading off with a single before Hall doubled down the left field line, but despite two runners on base with no outs, King was unable to score.
- UNCP got on the scoreboard first, as Trent Harris hit a one-out solo home run in the fifth to hand the Braves a 1-0 lead. UNCP would also get a runner to third, but the Tornado were able to escape without any more runs.
- The Tornado got on the board in the sixth when Patrick Corley led off with a bunt single. After a flyout, Hall would pick up his second hit of the game, a two-run home run to left field, putting the Tornado in the lead, 2-1.
- King added another run in the seventh, with Hilliard singling before stealing second and third base. He scored on a throwing error by the catcher, giving King a insurance run, 3-1.
- The Braves offense woke up in the eighth, scoring 11 runs to take a 12-3 lead, which would stand as the final score.

- Trent Harris was 2-for-4, with a home run, a stolen base and three RBI.
- Michael Kocen was 4-for-5, with a pair of RBI.
