DUE WEST, S.C. – The King University women's soccer team finished the regular season with a 7-1 triumph at Erskine College Saturday afternoon.
Ella Froehlich,
Michelle White and
Taylor Stubbs all had two goals each in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stubbs wasted no time for King, as she broke through the defense in the third minute and used a pass from White to score her 10th goal of the season, handing King the early advantage.
- Just three minutes later, Froehlich scored her seventh of the season, stretching the Tornado lead to 2-0.
- In the 17th minute, it was Erskine who scored, cutting the Tornado lead to 2-1.
- The Flying Fleet had a chance to tie the match in the 28th minute, but a blocked shot and save by Rowan Phillips kept the ball out of the net.
- Stubbs added a insurance goal for the Tornado in the 51st minute, stretching the lead to 3-1.
- White scored a goal of her own in the 69th minute, using a rebound off a shot by Froehlich to extend the advantage to 4-1.
- Three minutes later, they did it again, with White scoring her second of the day, with Froehlich getting the assist to make it a 5-1 game.
- Froehlich added her second of the day in the 73rd minute, with White getting the assist to stretch the lead to 6-1.
- Mackenzie Winters scored one final goal in the 86th minute after a pass by Ariana Gallegos, taking the score to 7-1, which would stand as the final score.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- This was the third multi-goal match of the season for Stubbs, who has scored 11 times this season. For Froehlich it was her second multi-goal match, while it was the first multi-goal match of White's career.
- Phillips made her first career start, making just one save as she earned her first career win.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Tornado are now 6-0 all-time playing in Due West, with this being the second-largest margin of victory in the series.
- This is the third time since becoming a Division II program that the Tornado scored seven goals in a match, and the first since Oct. 22, 2016 when they scored seven against Erskine.

- Jordan Schuhlein had the goal for the Flying Fleet.
