TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The King University men's volleyball team returned to Conference Carolinas play on Wednesday night and fell to league-leading North Greenville University. The first two sets were close as the Crusaders took 25-23 victories before winning the third set 25-17 to hand King the 3-0 defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- Four straight North Greenville points gave the Crusaders a 5-2 lead in the early going.
- North Greenville extended their lead to 16-10 before a pair Joshua Kim kills sparked a 4-0 King run.
- The Tornado later pulled within one on numerous occasions but could never even the tally as Crusaders sided out to take the set 25-23.
Second Set
- King erased an early deficit to take an 11-9 lead following a 4-0 spurt. Kim and JT Deppe book ended the run with kills.
- The Tornado later led 17-14 following an Aaron Milstead kill before North Greenville went on a 4-1 run to even the score at 18.
- Back-to-back North Greenville points gave the Crusaders a 21-20 lead as they closed out the 25-23 win with a 6-3 run.
Third Set
- A 4-0 North Greenville run gave the Crusaders an early 8-6 advantage before a 5-0 run stretched the advantage to 14-8 and forced a King timeout.
- The Tornado deficit grew to 17-9 before King tried to chip away at the deficit.
- King pulled within 22-17, but the Crusaders closed out the 25-17 win with three straight points to take the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kim led King with 13 kills and hit .435 in the contest. He added six digs.
- Suetonius Harris added nine kills while Deppe accounted for seven kills and six digs.
- Jack Sarnowski handed out 27 assists and Noah Melendez recorded nine digs.
FOR THE FOES
- Gregory Torres posted 14 kills and five digs while Diego Rosich added 10 kills and four digs.
- Sergio Carrillo handed out 32 assists and Christian Phung added eight digs.

- The Tornado return home on Saturday to host Queens University at 3:00 p.m.
