BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team played tough against Erskine College on Sunday afternoon. However, the Tornado face some back luck as they fell to the Flying Fleet 1-0 on an own goal in the early minutes of the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ben Delisle came up with the first opportunity for the Tornado in the opening minute as his shot sailed wide before Erskine turned the field.
- Dalton Gammon came up with a save in the second minute before the Flying Fleet earned a penalty kick opportunity in the seventh minute.
- Gammon saved the initial shot, and the rebound, but Erskine the played the ball into the box and it ricocheted off of Tornado feet and into the goal.
- That gave Erskine a 1-0 lead, and their defense dug in.
- Delisle's shot was the only the Tornado could get in the first half. In the second half, King took four shots with a Zubair Taylor attempt being on frame.
- However, that shot was turned away to keep the Tornado off the board.
- On the other side of the field, the Flying Fleet continued to pressure the King defense, and the Tornado stood tall.
- Gammon made seven saves in the opening 45 minutes and followed with four more in the second half to give the Tornado a chance to net the equalizer.
- However, Taylor's shot that was saved in the 86th minute was the best opportunity for the Tornado as Erskine took the match 1-0.

- Erskine took 19 shots, placing 11 on frame while earned five corner kicks.
- Evan Zizek made one save for the Flying Fleet.
