CENTRAL, S.C. – The King University baseball team concluded their season-opening series on Sunday as they fell at Southern Wesleyan University. The Warriors used a big fifth inning to take a commanding lead in the 9-0 victory.

- King threatened in the first inning with a pair of runners, but that was it as they were stranded on first and second.
- Ty King Richards started the third with a double and scored on a D.J. Ludwick triple, giving Southern Wesleyan a 1-0 lead.
- The Warriors extended their lead to 6-0 with five runs in the fifth, highlighted by a Josh Galloway two-run single.
- Southern Wesleyan added two runs in the eighth to take the contest 9-0.

- Ludwick, Galloway and Tanner Glass all posted two hits and drove in two.
