DUE WEST, S.C. – The Tornado were unable to respond after a goal late in the first half Wednesday night as they dropped a conference match to Erskine under the lights Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Erskine came out and dominated the first half, though the scoreboard only showed one goal, which came in the 42nd minute.
- The only King shot on goal was in the 33rd minute when Mate Lengyel took a shot that was stopped by the Erskine keeper
- Dalton Gammon faced four shots in the half, making three saves.
- After the halftime break, Ty Trikones took a shot just 90 seconds into the second half, but it sailed wide. Samuel Corredor Rincon took a shot two minutes later that missed wide as well.
- King ended up with six shots in the second half but were unable to get anything on goal.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Gammon finished the match with five saves, his fourth-most of the season.
- As a team, the Tornado took seven corner kicks on the night, their most of the season.
FOR THE FOES
- Dennis Cole scored the lone goal for Erskine, his sixth of the season.
- Evan Zizek played the full 90 minutes in net for the Flying Fleet, making one save
