Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's soccer team ended their five-game losing streak on Wednesday night when they defeated rival Lees-McRae College 1-0. Anya Gross scored the game-winning goal in the 22nd minute and Erin Foster posted her second shutout of the season to give King the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams had chances to score in the first half with King taking seven shots and placing four on goal.
- The Bobcats took 14 shots in the opening 45 minutes, placing eight on frame. Foster came up with saves on each occasion to keep Lees-McRae off the scoreboard.
- King scored the lone goal of the half in the 22nd minute as Gross beat the goalkeeper to a ball at the top of the box and chipped it past her and into the lower right corner of the net.
- In the second half, King packed the defense in, holding Lees-McRae to nine shots, and six on goal.
- On the offensive end, King took 11 shots in the second half, including four on goal, but couldn't add and insurance goal.
- Foster made a pair of saves in the final five minutes to preserve the 1-0 Tornado victory.
