Box Score TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The King University women's soccer team traveled to take on one of the top teams in Conference Carolinas on Wednesday evening. The Tornado went toe-to-toe with North Greenville University in the first half, but the Crusaders scored twice in the second half to take the contest 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Greenville seemed to control play for the majority of the first half, outshooting the Tornado 8-4.
- King placed two of their shots on goal while the Crusaders landed three on target.
- North Greenville earned five corner kicks while the Tornado took one corner kick in the opening 90 minutes.
- The Crusaders had the first scoring chance as an attempt hit the crossbar in the seventh minute.
- Jaida Souvannaraj countered with a shot in the eighth minute, but it was turned away.
- The other Tornado shot on goal came from the foot of Maya Houston in the 28th minute.
- King had a chance with a corner kick in the waning minutes of the first half, and Erin Foster made a save in the final minute to keep the game scoreless at the break.
- North Greenville got on the board in the 56th minute when Shelby Shepherd placed a shot into the upper left 90 from 25 yards.
- Houston came back for the Tornado with a shot on frame, but it was turned away.
- The Crusaders then added another goal as Shepherd found the back of the net in the 59th minute.
- In the final two minutes, Maggie Olvera had a shot saved and McKenzie Clarke had a shot blocked as the Crusaders took the 2-0 win.
