Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's soccer team came away with a 1-0 victory over Erskine College on Saturday afternoon. The Tornado got the match's lone goal from one of the afternoon's honorees, senior Lizzie Boone.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Erskine put pressure on the King defense in the early going as Hannah Clements came up with a pair of saves in the opening 25 minutes.
- Meghan O'Ferral posted King's first shot on goal, coming in the 27th minute, and a foul in the box followed, giving King a penalty kick.
- Boone took the penalty kick, and it was successful in the 28th minute, putting the Tornado ahead.
- Clements made another save to close out the half, as the Tornado continued to lead.
- King packed in their defense in the second half, not allowing the Flying Fleet to only place two shots on goal.
- Both of those attempts came in the final 10 minutes, but Clements came up with saves on both occasions, keeping the Flying Fleet off the scoreboard.
- Erskine earned four corner kicks in the final four minutes, but the Tornado defense stood tall as King took the 1-0 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Clements made five saves in the contest, posting her first career shutout.
- Erskine outshot King 11-3, placing five shots on goal while King recorded three shots on frame.
- The Flying Fleet also had more corner kicks than the Tornado taking 10 and allowing three for King.
