Zoya Robbins

Zoya C. Robbins joined King University as Assistant Softball Coach in August 2024, bringing a wealth of experience, leadership, and passion to the Tornado softball program. Coach Robbins is recognized for her dedication to athlete development, her commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive team culture, and her innovative approach to coaching.

Coach Robbins holds a Master of Arts in Sports Management from the University of South Dakota and earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Minot State University, with a minor in Corrections. During her time at Minot State, she was a four-year member of the Beavers softball team, President of the Diversity & Inclusion Council, and the creator of the university’s inaugural Mental Health Panel. Her leadership and advocacy were recognized with the MSU Student Leadership & Engagement Award in 2022.

Prior to joining King University, Coach Robbins held coaching positions with the Northwoods League-Minot Honeybees, the University of South Dakota, Beyond Sports in Italy, Minot State University, and the Arrows of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. She has experience in all facets of collegiate softball, including recruiting, player mentorship, practice and game-day operations, scouting and film analysis, and directing social media efforts. Her international coaching background and Mental Health certification further enrich her ability to connect with and support student-athletes.

At King, Coach Robbins serves as academic liaison and director of operations for the softball program, and is instrumental in developing practice plans, running scouting and video analysis, and maintaining strong community relationships. Her vision is to empower student-athletes to reach their highest potential both on and off the field, and to contribute to the continued success of King Softball.
