Javier Saldivar was named Graduate Assistant for King University Women’s Volleyball in August 2026, bringing a wealth of experience as a collegiate student-athlete, team manager, and academic mentor to the Tornado program. Saldivar’s background in volleyball operations, leadership, and student support uniquely positions him to contribute to the continued growth and success of King Women’s Volleyball.
In his role at King, Saldivar assists with all aspects of the women’s volleyball program, including on-court coaching, practice planning, recruiting, and day-to-day team operations. Leveraging his experience as a student manager for the Tornado, he is adept at team logistics, equipment management, and fostering a positive, organized team environment. Saldivar’s leadership as a former team captain and his involvement with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee have honed his communication and mentorship skills, allowing him to support the development and well-being of student-athletes both on and off the court.
Saldivar’s athletic experience spans multiple programs, having competed as a volleyball student-athlete at Kentucky State University (2021–2024) before transferring to King University (2024–2026). He earned recognition as Defensive Player of the Year (2024), served as team captain, and was honored with the 4.0 Student-Athlete Award, Provost’s List, and Dean’s List distinctions for his academic and athletic achievements. His time as a peer mentor and teaching assistant in King’s Biology Department further demonstrates his commitment to supporting others and enhancing the student experience.
A recent graduate, Saldivar holds a B.S. in Cybersecurity and Cloud Computing from King University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration. His skills in leadership, organization, communication, and adaptability make him a valuable asset to the King University Women’s Volleyball staff.
