BRISTOL, Tenn. – Following her performance at the Gene Mullin Invitational over the weekend, King University women's cross country runner Hannah Kusmierz was recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference on Wednesday. The sophomore was selected ECAC Runner of the Week following her 13th place performance.
Kusmierz set a personal record at the Gene Mullin Invitational, covering the 5k distance in 20:21.12. That time gave her a 13th place finish, leading King to an overall finish of seventh and fifth among NCAA Division II schools.
The Tornado will be in action again on Friday at the Queen City Invitational, hosted by Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. The race is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
