Tornado take sixth at Asheville XC Carnival

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The King University women's cross country team turned in a solid effort at the Asheville XC Carnival on Saturday. Kaitlin Rivera led the way for the Tornado as the team finished sixth.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Rivera posted a time of 21:33.74 to lead the way for King.
  • Kayce Byrnside followed with a time of 22:05.35.
  • The trio of Kirstin Barton, Abbi Pierce and Sarah Minchey rounded on the squad finishing in succession.
  • Barton led the way with a time of 23:15.39 while Pierce followed with a time of 23:33.47. Minchey rounded out the group, crossing the finish line in 23:28.20.
