King finishes 19th at NCAA Southeast Regionals

WINGATE, N.C. – The King University women's cross country team finished 19th out of 27 teams at the NCAA Southeast Regional race this afternoon. King was led by freshman Samantha Schreiber who finished in 26th place for the Tornado.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Schreiber led the way for King finishing with a time of 24:19.4.
  • Crossing the line next for King was Hannah Sanford finishing in 25:20.7.
  • Maggie Edwards recorded a time of 27:20.1 for the Tornado.
  • Finishing up for King was Kayce Burnside with a time of 28:07.5 and Abbigail Pierce in 29:57.1.

FOR THE FOES

  • Montevallo took home the first place team finish in the meet with five runners record a top 10 finish.
  • Wingate University and Queens University followed finishing 2nd and 3rd overall.
  • Queens University's Catie Byrd took first place with a time of 22:25.3.
