U.S. places seventh at Junior World Championships
SOFIA, Bulgaria – On Thursday and Friday, four King University women’s wrestlers competed for the U.S. at the FILA Junior World Championships on team coached by Tornado head coach Jason Moorman. The eight-person squad posted 27 points, placing seventh out of 25 teams at the event.

King sends four women's wrestlers, coach to Junior Worlds
BRSITOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s wrestling team has a big presence at the 2013 FILA Junior World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. The U.S. squad is coached by Tornado head coach Jason Moorman, and half of the eight-person team is made up of King wrestlers. Current Tornado wrestlers, Sarah Hildebrandt, Lorrie Ramos and Julia Salata are joined by incoming freshman Haley Augello on the U.S. team that begins competition on Thursday.

Ragan makes Senior World Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The King University women’s wrestling team had wrestlers compete at the World Team Wrestle-Off on Saturday, and one made King history. Alli Ragan became the first women’s wrestler in King history to earn a spot on a Senior World Team, taking first in the 59 kg weight class.

Klingel, Ragan take home medals from international competitions
BRISTOL, Tenn. – King University’s women’s wrestlers continued to compete across the world this weekend as Alli Ragan and Sarah Hildebrandt competed at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia while Samantha Klingel and Kayla Brendlinger competed in the Pan American Junior Championships in Santiago, Chile. Ragan turned in a silver medal performance on Sunday while Klingel took home gold on Saturday.

Hildebrandt, Salata ranked in FILA World Rankings
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s wrestling team may be in their “offseason”, but many wrestlers have been competing in events across the world since their season with the Tornado ended. Following success at these competitions, Sarah Hildebrandt and Julia Salata were ranked at their respective weight classes in the latest FILA Women’s Freestyle World Rankings.

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women’s wrestling program has come a long way in just four short years. A season ago they were the #1 ranked team in the WCWA preseason poll, and have finished second and third at WCWA Nationals, hosted by King each of the last two seasons.

Three Tornado place third at World Team Trials
STILLWATER, Okla. – A few members of the King University women’s wrestling team competed in the World Team Trials this weekend in Oklahoma. Sarah Hildebrandt, Alli Ragan and Julia Salata all earned third place finishes in their respective weight classes at the event.

Woody joins women's wrestling staff
BRSITOL, Tenn. – Head women’s wrestling coach Jason Moorman announced the hire of Nicole Woody as assistant women’s wrestling coach at King University. Woody comes to King after being a graduate assistant coach at Missouri Baptist University.

Hildebrandt takes gold, Salata silver in Austria
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University had women’s wrestlers competing in different places this weekend. Alli Ragan competed in the Battle at the Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada while Sarah Hildebrandt, Amanda Hendey and Julia Salata competed at the Austria Open. Hildebrandt came home with a gold medal in the 55-kilogram weight class.

Tornado take three titles at Body Bar Championships
LAKELAND, Fla. – The King University women’s wrestling team competed at the 2013 Body Bar Championships on Sunday, and the Tornado came home with three first place finishes and two runner-ups. Sarah Hildebrandt (55-kg), Lorrie Ramos (67-kg) and Julia Salata (72-kg) all returned home from Florida with titles.

Ragan wins title at US Open
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Members of the King University women’s wrestling team competed in the Asics Las Vegas U.S. Open over the weekend. At the 59-kilo weight class, Alli Ragan won her first US Open title while Samantha Klingel qualified for her first Senior World Team based on her finish at the event.

Hildebrandt wins gold at Senior Pan Ams
PANAMA CITY, Panama, - King University women's wrestler's Sarah Hildebrandt and Julia Salata competed at the Senior Pan Am Women's Championships on Saturday, and both will be returning to Bristol with hardware. Hildebrandt won the gold medal at the 55-kilogram weight class while Salata earned a bronze medal in the 67-kilogram weight class.

Salata, Hildebrandt set to wrestle at Senior PanAms
BRSITOL, Tenn. - Following their performances at the past two events, King University women's wrestler's Sarah Hildebrandt and Julia Salata will be competing at the Senior PanAm Games in Panama City, Panama this weekend. The duo will be competing for team U.S. Senior National team in the international competition.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – King University brought 11 women's wrestlers to compete in the University Nationals. Sarah Hildebrandt finished first in the 121-pound weight class while teammate Alli Ragan finished first in the 130-pound weight class.
