BRISTOL, Tenn. - The 2010-11 King College Women's Wrestling schedule has been finalized and announced by head coach Jason Moorman.
The second-year program will open the season on Saturday, Oct. 23, with matches against both the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) and Missouri Baptist University. Action begins at 10 a.m. The Lady Tornado will then travel to Oklahoma City, Okla., to take part in action against Oklahoma City University, Wayland Baptist (Texas) University and Lindenwood (Mo.) University.
King has a trip to the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) scheduled for Nov. 9 followed by the NYAC Open in New York, N.Y. Nov. 11-13. The Canada/American Open in Jamestown, N.D. is Nov. 20 and the 2010 portion of the schedule closes with the Harry Geris Duals in Williamsburg, Ky., Dec. 3-4.
To start 2011, the Lady Tornado welcomes Oklahoma City and Missouri Valley College to Bristol for action Jan. 15. On Jan. 18 King returns to the University of the Cumberlands before the WCWA Nationals in Atherton, Calif. on Jan. 29.
The only event in February will be the Dave Schultz International in Colorado Springs, Colo., the 4th and 5th. King will be a part of the University Nationals April 8-9 in Akron, Ohio, before the USAW Senior National Open in Cleveland, Ohio, April 22-23.
The schedule closes out with the USAW Body Bar Nationals in Kissimmee, Fla., and the USA World Team Trials in Oklahoma City. The USAW Body Bar Nationals are scheduled for May 13-14 with the USA World Team Trials June 9-11.
