NCAA Division II rankings obtained by Lady Tornado Volleyball

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - King College held onto four individual NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Top-50 stat ranking in the latest report, released by the organization. The Lady Tornado also owned two Top-40 team rankings.

Kaitlyn Musick (Weber City, Va.) moved up to No. 11 in hitting percentage. Musick was No. 20 a week ago, but a .390 hitting percentage helped the senior make the climb up nine spots. Freshman Kelsey Griffitts (Bristol, Va.) came in at No. 45 with a .343 hitting percentage this week.

Morgan Machen (Kingsport, Tenn.) went up a spot to No. 45 in kills per set with a 3.56 average.

Shannon Earwood (Carson City, Nev.) and her 10.03 assists per set fell in at No. 46 nationally. Her average went down from 10.04 a week ago, but she climbed a pair of spots.

King owns the No. 34 rankings in both aces per set and winning percentage. The Lady Tornado's 2.02 aces per set bumped the team up three spots. A week ago King occupied the No. 39 spot in winning percentage, but this week a .765 winning percentage moved the team up.

The Lady Tornado ended the regular season Tuesday with a 3-0 win at Brevard giving King a 27-8 record. Next on the schedule for King is the NCCAA Mid-East Region Tournament Nov. 19-20 inside the Student Center. The bracket will be announced Monday.
