Four PRs fall at Conference Carolinas Championships

CENTRAL, S.C. – The King University women's track and field team finished the season at the Conference Carolinas Championships with a ninth place finish.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • In the 100 meter dash prelims, Amari McFadden posted a personal record time of 12.34 seconds to qualify for the finals. In the finals, she finished seventh with a time of 12.71.
  • McFadden also qualified for the finals in the 200 meter dash with a prelim time of 25.75 seconds, setting a personal best. She then finished sixth in the finals with a time of 26.14 seconds.
  • Neyasha Honorable qualified for the finals in the 400 meters with a prelim time of 59.61 seconds, setting a new personal best. In the finals she posted a time of 1:00.97 to finish fifth.
  • In the 1500 meters, Kaitlin Rivera set a new personal best with a sixth place time of 5:02.80.
  • The 4x100 meter relay team of McFAdden, Ebony Jones, Lindsey Burnett and Honorable finished fourth with a time of 48.52 seconds.

FOR THE FOES

  • The University of Mount Olive won the Conference Carolinas title with 238.5 points, topping Southern Wesleyan University's 178.5 points.
